I watched this movie called 'baabul' yesterday....it was positively ghastly...whats up with salman khan? his permanennt name should be dopey....i think he doesnt even try and act..he's just himself - doped up...on god knows what weird conoction of drug cocktails!!!! and when he proposes to rani mukherjee in the movie - he says "cmon dude, lets be together"...I mean if a guy proposed to me like that, I'd say "c'mon dude, that's the door, now get out!!"
basically, i think he needs to retire..and mid-movie he suddenly gets a huge crop of hair (apparnetly hes gotten hair weaving done!!) so much for bollywood trying to become more "artsy" and "authentic" - with salman in the lead, the only thing that happens is a lot of "dude" and shirts coming off and weird hairdos!!!
To make it worse, the heavy dialogues made me almost weep - no, not because they were soo emotionally charged, but because I was gonna die of boredom...we literally forwarded half the movie!!!!
all in all though, you gotta hand it to them for trying to make a movie witha message - around widow remarriage....and of course, rani and amitabh truly rock..its a pity their talent is thus wasted!!!
but as far as such movies go, every masala bolly element was in place - from the love triangle, to the singing and dancing at the drop of a hat at parties....to salman bare chested....oh god! this one line makes me cringe!!! defintiely not worth wasting a sunday evening!!!
