It was a balmy 75 degrees in New York this weekend - a light breeze and a gorgeous bright sun after three days of non-stop rain. So we set out to central Park for a long walk...all of Manhattan was probably in the Park that afternoon....it was that crowded!!! as always, where there are crowds, there are music artists/bands vying for our attention...one particular band was soo good, we decided to spend almost 2 hours listening to them - Break Of Reality..a band of three cellists and one drummmer...now their music is what I'd label new age fusion...it was a classical - metal/rock feel...almost like Apcalyptica's version of Metallica's "Nothing else matters". It started off soulful and progressed onto a wonderfullly eclectic version of drums and the chello....vibrant, energetic and passionate. Axe and I were almost mesmerised by the music and promptly picked up the CD...apart from a couple of talkative teengaers, this was the perfect sunset for a wonderful start to Spring...
Check the band out here...they are from Rochester, NY and if you are ever in the area, they play at local bars...
